A total cleanse is most effective, as it reduces fat and promotes weight loss. These are two key factors in ridding oneself of harmful chemicals.
A cleanse usually should last seven to ten days at the most. Any longer, and harmful side effects can occur. These include muscle atrophy due to lack of protein, anemia, irregular heartbeat and low blood sugar.

Regardless of whether a person’s regular organs (kidney, liver, colon) are already equipped to get rid of toxins, a body cleanse detox does leave one with more energy and an increased sense of well-being.
